Meet the Foster Pups

Pugs (and honorary Pugs) listed below are in need of a foster home through Vintage Pugs. Fosters can apply via the form below and help us care for a pup looking for a family. Fosters allow us to help more dogs in need while keeping the sanctuary peaceful for the retirement and hospice dogs, while allowing foster pups to get more one-on-one work to help them prepare for meeting their new family.

Vintage Pugs provides all supplies (food, medications, beds and toys) while also covering all medical expenses related to care of one of our foster pups!

Not all Vintage Pugs available for foster are always listed on the website, if you are interested in fostering - including becoming a "Furever Foster" for a senior or hospice pug - please fill out an application and help us find the right match for you!

Butterball

Butterball was surrendered to Vintage Pug by his owner of 10 years due to the owner's poor health. She had acquired Butterball at age 2 - he had been used as a stud dog but was neutered at that time. His owner had been sending Butterball to the groomer to be completely shaved every other month to help keep shedding down. After a few months of care, his fur is growing back nicely but may never fully recover to all it's former glory. Toast

Toast is a young (1 1/2 year old) owner surrender. While healthy, she came to us with badly matted fur from lack of care. She's nervous around high energy dogs and confused as to where her people went. She's a velcro Pekingese who hasn't met a person yet she doesn't love. Already housebroken, walks well on leash, and super cuddly - Toast needs time to learn that active dogs just want to play and that it's ok to be alone for a while. We're working on getting her used to activity, and dog food (no more human food only diet for this young lady!)
